Who puts on the Okotoks Hot Chocolate Festival?

K-T Events is a local event planning company focused on bringing community events to Okotoks. The Company is run by Katie Fournell, who has worked on such events as the Okotoks Film Festival and The Wizarding World of Okotoks/Enchanted Okotoks.

How many years has the Hot Chocolate Festival been running?

This is the fifth year of the event. Each year we are getting more businesses on board and hope that we are providing both the community and businesses with a fun and tasty way to be creative and support each other. We hope you discover a new favorite!

Why do I have to register to vote?

This is so that you can keep track of which locations you have visited at a glance, vote fairly, and get your name entered in a draw for a $25 gift card to the winning business. We only keep your information if you check the box to say you would like to hear about future events. It is free to register!

Why do I rate a Hot chocolate? Why can’t I just pick my favorite?

This is the fairest way of voting. This lets the taste of the Hot Chocolate do all the heavy lifting and avoids the businesses needing to win a popularity contest with the most votes.

The Business is not open. Why not?

This event is created to be as easy as possible for businesses to participate in. We know that many have limited resources, specifically this year, and we want to make sure they can get in on the fun. For this reason, businesses are asked to keep their regular open hours for the event. On the interactive map, we share the business hours as clearly as we can and we ask that you try to plan your experience around what they can accommodate.
